How it Works

The commissioning process begins by filling out the inquiry form below. 

Then, I will contact you to arrange a 30-60 minute call - either by phone or a video chat - so that I can better understand exactly what you are looking for. I'll also go over some of the basics of the commissioning agreement.

Once we have had the consultation call, I will prepare an estimate for cost and timeline.

If you agree to the estimate, I will prepare the commissioned art agreement, and we will both sign. A 50% deposit will be due at this time to begin the work. If you are providing the reference photo(s), this is the time if not already provided.

I work on your drawing, providing you some updates along the way in accordance with the commissioning agreement.

Then, when complete, the final 50% of the balance is due and I deliver the work.

Finally, you get to enjoy a one-of-a-kind pencil drawing (or enjoy gifting it to someone who will absolutely love it.)

Pricing

My custom hand drawings start at $6 per square inch, with price depending on the complexity and customization of the piece. This price includes a simple black frame with mat, as shown in the photo. Other framing or matting options can be discussed and will be reflected in the estimate.
